“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared …” 1 Timothy 4:1-2
Satan and his minions always prowl around waiting to devour the unsuspecting. They are also really good at luring people into the darkness where they can be gobbled up into apostasy, all the while thinking they are still children of light. Some will openly turn away from the faith. Others will believe they are following Christ, but are truly following something else. They will call for killing and war, calling it righteousness. They will applaud perversity, calling it tolerance. They tolerate wickedness and call it love. They side with evil because evil is alway always more forceful and dangerous than good. It is the path of least resistance. They will not call a thing what it is, but rather what it appears to be … so good becomes evil and evil becomes good.
Do not allow yourselves to be deluded by such spirits. What God has declared good is good and what He condemns is evil.
Prayer: Lord Holy Spirit, do not allow me to be led astray … away from what is good and right. Where I have done wrong, lead me to repentance. Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins for the sake of your dear Son. Lord Jesus Christ, be my guide and conform my heart to yours. Amen.
