“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods,
for his steadfast love endures forever.
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords,
for his steadfast love endures forever” Psalm 136:1-3
Happy Thanksgiving. May your day be blessed. As you partake in the turkey and “all the fixins” take a moment to remember the goodness of the Lord who brought all things into being. Take time to be thankful for how He sustains you and provides for you. As you gather around the table, ask the Lord’s blessing upon your meal. Recall all the things for which you are thankful.
Whether we have little or plenty, we always have blessings if we look for them—“When my bankroll’s getting small, I remember when I had none at all.” There is always something for which to be thankful.
Enjoy the day.
Prayer: I give you thanks O Lord, for all you have done for me. I thank you for my life, family and friends, home, and for the air, water, and soil that brought forth its bounty. Help me to be ever thankful in plenty or in little. Most importantly, I thank you for Jesus who redeemed me and gives me eternal life. Amen.
